If you're starting from the Philadelphia City Center (City Hall), walk to the nearby SEPTA bus stop at 15th St & JFK Blvd. Take the bus route 2 or 17 toward the North Philadelphia area. Get off at the 8th St & Girard Ave stop. From there, walk north on 8th St until you reach the intersection with North 7th St. Turn right on North 7th St and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach 532 N 7th St, the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site.

Begin at the nearest subway station, which might be the 15th Street Station (on the Market-Frankford Line). Board the train headed towards Frankford. Alight at the 8th Street Station. Exit the station and walk north on 8th St. Continue until you reach the intersection with North 7th St. Turn right, and walk for approximately 5 minutes to arrive at 532 N 7th St, where the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site is located.
