Start at the Lambertville Ferry Station located at 1 Bridge St, Lambertville, NJ. Head east on Bridge St towards the Delaware River. Cross the bridge to reach New Hope, PA. Once across, continue straight on Bridge St, then turn right onto S Main St. Walk until you reach the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad station. From there, you can catch a train to the nearest train station to Philadelphia.

From Lambertville, walk to the Lambertville Station located at 11 Bridge St. From there, take the NJ Transit train to Trenton. Once in Trenton, transfer to the Amtrak train towards Philadelphia. Get off at the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. From 30th Street Station, take the SEPTA train towards Suburban Station. Get off at Suburban Station and transfer to the Market-Frankford Line towards Frankford. Get off at the 8th Street Station and then walk east on Arch St until you reach 701 Arch St, the African American Museum.

Rent a bike from a local rental shop in Lambertville. Start at the Lambertville Visitor Center on 18 Bridge St. Head towards the Delaware River and follow the bike path along the river. Cross the bridge into New Hope, PA, and continue on the bike path. Follow the path to the Pennsylvania side, and then make your way to the city center of Philadelphia. Once you arrive, navigate to 701 Arch St where the African American Museum is located.
