If you are starting from the historic Independence Hall, walk east along Chestnut Street for about 5 minutes. You will see the Benjamin Franklin Museum on your left at 317 Chestnut St. It's a short 0.3-mile walk, and you'll pass by various shops and cafes along the way.
Public Transit
From City Hall Station, take the Broad Street Line (Orange Line) southbound towards NRG Station. Get off at the 5th Street station. From there, walk east on 5th Street until you reach Chestnut Street. Turn left and walk one block to 317 Chestnut St, where the museum is located. The total travel time is around 15-20 minutes.
Public Transit
From the Philadelphia Museum of Art, walk to the nearest bus stop on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Take the Route 38 bus towards the 69th Street Terminal. Get off at the 15th Street and City Hall stop. Transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) at City Hall and ride towards 69th Street. Get off at the 5th Street station, then walk east on 5th Street and turn left on Chestnut Street to reach the museum at 317 Chestnut St. The total travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes.
