If you are in the historic district of Philadelphia, you can easily walk to Elfreth's Alley Museum. Start at Independence Hall located at 520 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Head east on Chestnut Street for two blocks until you reach 2nd Street. Turn left (north) on 2nd Street and walk for two blocks. When you reach Race Street, turn right (east) and walk one block to the next intersection. You'll see Elfreth's Alley on your left. Walk down Elfreth's Alley to find the museum at 126 Elfreth's Alley.

From the Philadelphia Convention Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at 12th and Arch Streets. Take the bus route 17 towards 'City Hall' and get off at the 2nd Street and Market Street stop. From there, walk north on 2nd Street for about three blocks. Turn left onto Race Street, and you'll find Elfreth's Alley on your left. Walk down Elfreth's Alley to reach the museum at 126 Elfreth's Alley.
