If you are starting from Independence Hall, head east on Chestnut Street towards 3rd Street. When you reach 3rd Street, turn left and walk north until you reach the intersection with Walnut Street. Continue walking north on 3rd Street, and you will find Powel House on your right at 244 S 3rd St. It should take about 10 minutes to walk the approximately half a mile distance.

From the Philadelphia Museum of Art, walk to the nearest bus stop at 24th St & Ben Franklin Parkway. Take the 32 bus towards 69th St Terminal. Ride for approximately 10 minutes and get off at the 3rd St & Walnut St stop. From there, walk south on 3rd Street for a short distance until you arrive at Powel House, located at 244 S 3rd St. The total journey should take around 25 minutes.

If you are near the 69th Street Terminal, take the Market-Frankford Line subway (blue line) towards Frankford. Get off at the 2nd Street Station.
