Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown Pittsburgh, head to the Smithfield Street Bus Station. Take the 1, 3, or 6 bus towards the North Side. Get off at the Allegheny Center stop. From there, walk north on Allegheny Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the Carnegie Science Center at 1 Allegheny Ave.

  • Light Rail

    If you're near the Light Rail station, take the T (light rail) towards the North Side. Get off at the Allegheny Station. Once you exit the station, walk northeast towards the river, then follow the path along the water for about 15 minutes until you arrive at the Carnegie Science Center.

  • Walking

    If you are within walking distance in the North Side area, head towards the riverside. Follow the North Shore Riverwalk path along the Ohio River for a scenic route. Continue until you see the Carnegie Science Center on your left at 1 Allegheny Ave.

  • Bike

    For those with a bike, you can ride along the North Shore Riverfront Park trail. Start from Point State Park and follow the trail west along the river. The Carnegie Science Center will be on your right as you approach 1 Allegheny Ave. There are bike racks available for parking.
