Public Transit (Bus)
If you are near the downtown area, you can catch the Port Authority bus routes 41 or 48. Board the bus at any downtown bus stop and ride towards the South Side. Request to get off at the stop for the Duquesne Incline, which is located at 1197 W Carson St. The incline will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Public Transit (T Light Rail)
Take the T Light Rail from any downtown station (such as Steel Plaza or First Avenue) and head towards the Station Square station. Once you arrive at Station Square, exit the station and walk towards the riverfront. From there, take the steps or the path leading up to the Duquesne Incline. It will be clearly marked and is just a short walk from the Station Square area.
Walking
If you are staying in the South Side area, you can walk to the Duquesne Incline. Head west on South 18th Street until you reach West Carson Street. Turn right onto West Carson Street, and you will see the entrance to the Duquesne Incline on your left side at 1197 W Carson St. It's a scenic walk and you will enjoy views of the city along the way.
