Walking
If you are in the heart of South Side, start at the intersection of East Carson Street and 18th Street. Head east on East Carson Street until you reach the intersection with the Smithfield Bridge. Cross the bridge, which offers a scenic view of the city. After crossing, continue straight onto 10th Street, and then turn left onto Liberty Avenue. Walk north on Liberty Avenue until you reach the intersection with Crawford Street. Turn right onto Crawford Street, and you will find Freedom Corner on your left, at approximately 0.5 miles from the bridge.
Public Transit - Bus
From South Side, you can take the Port Authority bus service. Locate the nearest bus stop along East Carson Street and take the '47 - Liberty' route. The fare is approximately $2.75 for a single ride. Ride the bus for about 10-15 minutes, getting off at the 'Crawford Street' stop. From there, walk a short distance east on Crawford Street, and Freedom Corner will be on your right.
Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Open the app, enter 'Freedom Corner' or 'Crawford St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219' as your destination, and request a ride. The cost may vary depending on your starting point in South Side, but expect to pay around $5 to $10 for a ride. The driver will take you directly to Freedom Corner.
