Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Strip District, head northeast on Penn Avenue towards 16th Street. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection at 16th Street. Turn left onto 16th Street and continue walking until you reach the Andy Warhol Bridge. Cross the bridge, enjoying the views of the city skyline. Once you are across the bridge, continue straight onto Arch Street. The National Aviary will be on your right at 700 Arch St.

    From the Strip District, locate the bus stop on Penn Avenue. You can take the Port Authority bus route 1 (to the North Side) or route 87 (to the North Side). The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of Arch Street and Allegheny Avenue. From there, walk south on Arch Street for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the National Aviary, located at 700 Arch St. Note: A single bus fare is approximately $2.75.
