Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the entrance of Presque Isle State Park located at the intersection of Peninsula Drive and West Lake Road. Drive along Peninsula Drive, following the signs towards the park's scenic areas. Continue straight for about 4 miles until you reach the Gull Point area. Look for the parking area on your right side. There is no parking fee in Presque Isle State Park, making it an affordable option for visitors.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at various rental shops in Erie. From the rental location, head towards the entrance of Presque Isle State Park on Peninsula Drive. Once inside the park, continue along the designated bike paths, which are well-marked. Follow Peninsula Drive for about 4 miles until you reach the Gull Point area. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of pedestrian traffic along the way.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check with the local transit authority for bus routes that service Presque Isle State Park. The nearest bus stop is typically located near the entrance of the park on Peninsula Drive. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to walk approximately 4 miles along Peninsula Drive to reach Gull Point Trail. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water as it may take about an hour to walk there.

• Walking

  If you are already within Presque Isle State Park and prefer to walk, head towards the Gull Point area by following the trails that lead from the main visitor center. Look for trail markers that guide you to Gull Point. The walk is approximately 2 miles from the visitor center and offers beautiful views of Lake Erie along the way. The trails are well-maintained and suitable for all skill levels.
