Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Presque Isle State Park on Peninsula Drive. Drive along Peninsula Drive, following the signs for the Public Dock. As you approach the end of the peninsula, you will see signs for the Public Dock. Look for the parking area near the dock. Note that parking may be limited, especially during peak tourist season, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options may be limited directly to Presque Isle State Park, but you can take a local bus service to the nearest stop. Use the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) and check their schedule for routes that go to Presque Isle. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Peninsula Drive to reach the Public Dock. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for varying weather conditions.
Walking/Biking
If you are already within Presque Isle State Park, you can walk or bike to the Public Dock. From the Visitor Center, head north along the paved trails that lead toward the dock. Follow the signs that indicate the direction to the Public Dock. The scenic route will allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of the park, and it should take you about 20-30 minutes to reach the dock on foot or by bike.
