Start at Reading City Hall located at 815 Washington St. Walk south on Washington St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Penn St. Turn right onto Penn St and continue walking for another 0.5 miles. You will reach 2nd St, where you will turn left. Proceed along 2nd St until you arrive at the entrance of the Reading Public Museum, located on your left. From there, take the trail that leads to Mount Penn, which is marked with signs. Ascend the trail for approximately 1 mile until you reach The Peace Rock, located on the summit of Mount Penn.

Public Transit (Bus)
Begin at the Reading Terminal Market at 9th and Penn St. Board the BARTA bus route 1 heading towards the Mount Penn area. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Perkiomen Ave and Mount Penn. From the bus stop, walk east on Perkiomen Ave for about 0.2 miles, then follow the signs leading to the Mount Penn trail. Hike up the trail for about 1 mile to reach The Peace Rock at the top.

From there, ride on the Schuylkill River Trail heading north until you reach the junction with Penn Ave. Continue onto Penn Ave, then follow the road signs to the Mount Penn area. Once you reach the base of Mount Penn, lock your bike and hike up the trail for about 1 mile to reach The Peace Rock.
