Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading southeast on Route 97 or Route 209 toward I-84 East. Merge onto I-84 East and continue until you reach the I-476 South exit toward Philadelphia. Take I-476 South until it merges into I-95 South. Continue on I-95 South and take exit 22 toward Central Philadelphia. Follow signs for Columbus Blvd and then make a right onto Chestnut St. Independence Hall will be on your left at 520 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Be aware that parking can be limited in Center City; consider using a parking garage nearby, which may incur additional costs.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, first find your nearest SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) station in Upper Delaware Valley. You can take the R5 train from stops like West Chester or Media towards the city. Disembark at the 69th Street Terminal and transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) towards Frankford. Get off at 69th Street and transfer to the R2 train heading towards the city. Disembark at the 15th Street Station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Independence Hall. Exit the station and head east on Market St. Turn right onto 5th St, then left onto Chestnut St, and you will see Independence Hall at 520 Chestnut St. Be sure to check the SEPTA website for the latest schedules and fares.
