Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Huaraz, which is a central hub in Ancash. Take the Avenida Luzuriaga and head towards the north on the PE-3N highway. After about 45 km, turn right onto the PE-3S road towards the town of Moro. Follow the signs to Moro, which is approximately 30 km away. Upon entering the town, look for signs directing you to the Hornillos Waterfall. The waterfall is located about 5 km from the town center, and the road may be unpaved, so drive carefully. The GPS coordinates for the waterfall are approximately -9.1069 latitude and -78.0598 longitude. Expect to pay for fuel, which can vary based on your vehicle's consumption.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Huaraz to Moro. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Huaraz. The fare is usually around 10-15 PEN (Peruvian Soles) and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Moro, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Hornillos Waterfall, which is approximately a 5 km trip. Taxi fares may range from 15-25 PEN, depending on negotiation. Make sure to ask the driver to take you directly to the waterfall.
