Car
If you are driving from Huaraz, take the Pan-American Highway (Route 1N) south towards Chimbote. After approximately 40 kilometers, take the exit towards Bellavista. Continue on the main road until you reach the coordinates 9MVW+RC2 in Bellavista, which is the entrance to Reserva Nacional de Calipuy. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as some areas around the reserve may have unpaved roads.
Public Transportation
From Huaraz, take a bus heading to Chimbote. The trip takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Chimbote's terminal, find a local bus or taxi that goes to Bellavista. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver. The bus ride from Chimbote to Bellavista will take approximately 30 minutes. Once in Bellavista, you can walk or hire a local taxi to reach the coordinates 9MVW+RC2, where the entrance to the Reserva Nacional de Calipuy is located.
