Bus
From the main square in Cusco (Plaza de Armas), walk to the bus terminal located on Av. 28 de Julio. Look for buses that specifically go to Ollantaytambo. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, ask the driver to drop you off at the town square. From the square, you can walk to the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary, which is about a 15-minute walk. Head towards the main street until you reach the entrance to the sanctuary.

Train
You can also take a train to Ollantaytambo from Cusco. First, make your way to the Poroy train station, which is about a 20-minute taxi ride from the Plaza de Armas. Purchase a ticket for the train to Ollantaytambo. The train ride will take around 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo train station, exit the station and walk about 10 minutes to reach the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary. Follow the main road leading into town and look for signs pointing to the sanctuary.

Shared Taxi
From the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, walk to the nearby street where shared taxis (colectivos) congregate. Look for a taxi marked for Ollantaytambo. These taxis typically leave when full, so you may have to wait a bit. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary by heading towards the main square and following the signs.
