Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Abancay, the capital of Apurímac. Take the road towards Ollantaytambo, which is approximately 2.5 hours (around 90 km). Once you reach Ollantaytambo, follow the signs towards the Perolniyoc Waterfall. You will need to drive up towards Calle 6, where the waterfall is located. There is parking available near the trailhead leading to the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Perolniyoc Waterfall via public transportation, take a bus from Abancay to Ollantaytambo. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Once in Ollantaytambo, you can either hire a taxi to take you directly to the waterfall or walk to Calle 6 where you will find the trailhead. Taxis from the town to the waterfall usually cost around 10-15 soles.
Walking
After arriving in Ollantaytambo, if you choose to walk from the town to the waterfall, head towards Calle 6. The hike to the waterfall from the trailhead is relatively easy and takes about 1-1.5 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the hike.
