1 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu was an amazing experience

Unaware that there was no train from Cusco. Had a bumpy ride on a transfer van of over 2 hours to get to the train station in another area. Train was on time and relatively a nice but long ride (another 1.5 hours). Bus to the sacred area of Machu Picchu is about 15-20 minutes, steep winding road. I must say, Manuel, our guide was exceptionally good. He took the time to explain in detail the area along with its history. Unfortunately on our way back to Cusco, the last transfer van from the train station to Cusco was delayed. After such a long tiring day, this was not acceptable. I believe this falls on the agent’s responsibility. This was a private tour, only 2 of us.
