From Yanahuara, head towards the Yanahuara viewpoint, which is a popular starting point. Once you reach the viewpoint, continue straight down the main road (Calle de la Paz) until you reach the intersection with Avenida La Paz. Turn left onto Avenida La Paz and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You'll pass several local shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Plaza de Armas. Once you reach the intersection with Calle San Francisco, turn right. Continue walking and you'll find Plaza de Armas Arequipa on your left, just after crossing the intersection with Calle Santa Catalina.

Head to the nearest bus stop on Avenida La Paz, where you can catch a 'colectivo' (shared taxi) or a local bus heading towards the city center. The fare is typically around 1-2 soles.
