Car
To reach Nevado Auzangate by car from the nearest town, Tinki, start your journey by driving from Tinki along the unpaved road towards the Auzangate trailhead. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you have a vehicle capable of handling rough terrain. Park your car at the designated parking area near the trailhead, where you can find signs indicating the Auzangate trek routes.
Public Transportation
From Cusco, take a bus to Tinki. Buses leave from the Terminal Terrestre in Cusco and the journey takes about 3-4 hours, costing around 15-20 soles. Once you arrive in Tinki, you can either walk or hire a local guide or taxi to take you to the Auzangate trailhead, which is a 30-minute ride away. Prepare for some additional costs if hiring a taxi or guide.
Trekking
After reaching the Auzangate trailhead, begin your hike up towards Nevado Auzangate. The trek is approximately 3-5 hours depending on your pace and the selected route.
