Getting There

Walking
Start from the central Plaza de Armas in Ayacucho. Head east on Avenida 2 de Mayo towards the intersection with Calle Sucre. Turn left onto Calle Sucre and continue until you reach the intersection with Avenida La Mar. Turn right onto Avenida La Mar and walk straight. After about 1 km, you will reach the junction with Avenida Huamanga. Turn left and continue walking uphill. Follow the road signs towards 'Mirador de Acuchimay'. The road becomes steeper here, so take your time. After approximately 2 km, you will arrive at the entrance to the Mirador de Acuchimay, which is a popular observation deck offering stunning views of the surrounding area.

Public Transport (Microbus)
From the Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearby microbus station (Estación de Microbuses) located on Avenida La Mar. Look for a microbus heading towards Carmen Alto. Board the microbus and inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for 'Mirador de Acuchimay'. The microbus ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you will need to walk uphill for about 15 minutes to reach the observation deck. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
