Follow the signs for the 'Cruz del Condor' viewpoint. After reaching Cruz del Condor, continue driving down the canyon towards the Rio Colca. The road will lead you alongside the river, and you will have access to various viewpoints along the way. There is no direct cost for using the road, but consider adding a small fee for parking at certain lookout points.
Public Transportation
To reach Rio Colca using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Arequipa to Chivay. The bus ride takes approximately 4-5 hours and costs around 30-40 soles. Once in Chivay, look for local minivans or buses heading to the Colca Canyon. These will take you to various points within the canyon, including stops near Rio Colca. The fare for the local transport is usually around 10-15 soles. Ensure to confirm with the driver if they will drop you near the river.
