If you are in the center of Cusco (Plaza de Armas), head southwest on Avenida El Sol towards the intersection with Avenida de la Cultura. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the bus terminal at Avenida de la Cultura. From there, look for a bus or colectivo (shared taxi) heading to Ollantaytambo. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, you will be near the entrance to the Inca Trail, which is well-signposted. Follow the signs to reach the trailhead.
