Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the main square in Cusco (Plaza de Armas), walk to the nearby bus station located on Avenida de la Cultura. Look for a bus labeled 'Calca' or 'Urubamba'. The fare is usually around 5 soles. Once you are on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 1 hour. Get off at the 'Tercer paradero Arin' bus stop in Calca. From there, walk approximately 5 minutes down the road until you reach Tayta Wasi, which will be on your left.

• Shared Taxi (Colectivo)

  Head to the shared taxi station (colectivo) located near the Plaza de Armas or on Avenida de la Cultura. Look for a colectivo heading to Calca; it should have a sign indicating its destination. The fare is typically around 10-15 soles. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Calca, ask the driver to drop you off at 'Tercer paradero Arin'. From there, Tayta Wasi is just a short 5-minute walk down the street.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the scenery, you can walk from the center of Cusco to Calca, which is about 30 km away and will take approximately 6-7 hours. Start from Plaza de Armas and head north on Avenida de la Cultura, following the signs towards Calca. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as this is a long trek. Once you arrive in Calca, ask locals for directions to Tayta Wasi, located at Tercer paradero Arin.
