Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), simply walk towards the north side of the square. Head towards the Cathedral of Cusco, which is directly located at the square's northern end. From the Cathedral, take a left onto Calle Triunfo and walk straight until you reach the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), which is about 10 minutes away by foot.

Public Transportation (Bus)

To reach the nearby archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán, make your way to the main bus stop located near Plaza de Armas. Look for buses heading towards Sacsayhuamán, which are marked and cost a small fare (around 1-2 soles). The ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the last stop, and Sacsayhuamán will be a short walk uphill from the bus stop.

Taxi

For a more direct route to the San Pedro Market, find a taxi by either hailing one on the street or asking at your accommodation. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand or ask the driver to use the meter. The ride from Plaza de Armas to San Pedro Market takes about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you can explore the vibrant market filled with local produce and crafts.

Walking

To reach the San Blas neighborhood from Plaza de Armas, head east along Calle Huascar. Continue uphill for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the plaza in San Blas, known for its artisan shops and beautiful church. The walk offers a glimpse of Cusco's charming streets and local life.

Public Transportation (Collectivo)

For a trip to the nearby town of Pisac, go to the main collectivo terminal located at Avenida El Sol. Look for collectivos that display 'Pisac' on their windshield. The fare is around 5 soles, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Pisac, you can explore the market and archaeological site.
