Walking
From the main square in Cusco, Plaza de Armas, head south on Avenida del Sol towards the intersection with Avenida Pardo. Continue straight until you reach the bus terminal at Avenida Pardo. From there, take a local bus heading towards Puno or nearby towns. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the Pumamarca stop. After getting off, follow the dirt path leading uphill for about 15 minutes until you reach the Pumamarca Ruins.
Public Transport
Starting from Plaza de Armas, walk to Avenida Sol and catch a microbus (small bus) that goes to the 'Pallata' route. You can ask locals for the specific bus number. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Pallata, ask the driver to let you off at the Pumamarca Ruins stop. You may need to walk a bit uphill for around 10 minutes to reach the ruins from where the bus drops you off.
Taxi or Ride-share
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Pumamarca Ruins'. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey, or ensure the meter is running. This option is more comfortable but may be slightly more expensive.
