Car
If you are traveling by car from the city center of Abancay, head south on the Pan-American Highway (Route 1). After approximately 20 km, take the exit for Route 30C towards Chalhuanca. Continue on Route 30C for about 50 km, passing through the towns of Curahuasi and reaching Chalhuanca. Once in Chalhuanca, follow the signs towards the Unnamed Road (08630) leading to the Temple of the Hummingbird. The journey should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions.

To reach the Temple of the Hummingbird via public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Abancay. Look for buses heading to Chalhuanca. The fare is usually around 10-15 PEN. After approximately 1 hour, you will reach Chalhuanca. From there, you can either hire a local taxi (which may cost around 20-30 PEN) or look for a local minibus heading towards the Unnamed Road (08630) near the Temple of the Hummingbird. Inform the driver of your destination so they can drop you off close to the site.
