Car
If you are driving from the center of Huancavelica, head north on Av. Los Incas. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Av. 28 de Julio. Turn left onto Av. 28 de Julio and follow it for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass through several small neighborhoods. Keep an eye out for the signs that point towards 'Antacocha'. After another 1 kilometer, turn right onto a dirt road that leads towards Antacocha. It’s about a 10-minute drive on this road. The destination will be on your left at coordinates -12.7861978, -74.9764024. Please note that the road may be unpaved and could require a vehicle with good clearance.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the main bus terminal in Huancavelica, look for buses heading towards 'Antacocha' or 'Cercado de Huancavelica'. The fare is typically around 2-5 soles (approximately $0.50 to $1.50). The buses usually depart every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. When you arrive at the Antacocha stop, disembark and walk towards the coordinates provided (-12.7861978, -74.9764024), which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to confirm with the bus driver or the conductor that you're on the right bus.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from the center of Huancavelica to Antacocha. The taxi fare will be approximately 15-25 soles (around $4 to $7). The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey or ask the driver to use the meter if available.
