Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Ayacucho Cathedral, head northeast on Calle Ayacucho for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida 28 de Julio. Turn left onto Avenida 28 de Julio and walk for another 200 meters until you see the Plaza de Armas on your right. The plaza is easily recognizable by its large open space and beautiful colonial architecture.

    From the main market (Mercado Central), exit the market and head southeast on Avenida 28 de Julio. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and cafes. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Plaza de Armas of Ayacucho, which will be on your left, surrounded by beautiful buildings and green spaces.

    If you are near the San Francisco church, exit and turn left onto Calle San Francisco. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida 28 de Julio.
