If you are driving from Huaraz, head east on Avenida Luzuriaga towards Avenida 28 de Julio. Continue straight for about 5 km until you reach the junction with the main road to Independencia. Turn right onto this road, and follow it for approximately 9 km. Look for signs indicating 'Templo de Wilcahuain' as you approach the village of Wilcahuain. The archaeological site is located about 1 km from the main road, and you can park your car in the designated area near the entrance.

To reach Templo de Wilcahuain via public transport, start by going to the main bus terminal in Huaraz. Look for a bus or minivan heading to Independencia; the fare is usually around 2-4 soles. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Independencia, ask locals for directions to Wilcahuain.
