Car
From the main entrance of Huascarán National Park, head southeast on the main road towards the town of Cashapampa. Continue along the road, enjoying the scenic views of the mountains. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the junction of the road leading to the Caserío Ushno. Turn right at the junction and follow the signs. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes, and after about 10 km, you will arrive at Caserío Ushno. Please note that parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Caserío Ushno via public transportation, you can take a bus from the town of Huaraz to Cashapampa. Buses leave frequently, and the journey takes about 1 hour. From Cashapampa, you will need to hire a taxi or a mototaxi to reach Caserío Ushno, which is about 10 km away. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should cost approximately 15-20 soles.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike to Caserío Ushno. Start your hike from Cashapampa, following the trail that leads towards the village. The hike is approximately 10 km and will take around 3-4 hours, depending on your pace. It is advisable to bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as proper hiking gear, as the trail can be steep and rugged in parts.
