Car
From Caraz, head southeast on Avenida 28 de Julio towards the intersection with Avenida Huascarán. Continue straight onto the Caraz - Huallanca road (PE-3N) for approximately 18 km. Look for signs indicating 'Parque Nacional Huascarán' as you approach the park entrance. After passing the entrance, follow the main road until you reach the Garita Parque Nacional Huascarán, located at coordinates X767+82. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads can be rough in parts.

From Caraz, take a local bus heading towards Huascarán National Park. Buses typically leave from the main bus terminal and run regularly throughout the day. Confirm with the driver that the bus goes to the park entrance. The fare is usually around 5-10 soles. Once you reach the park entrance, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Garita Parque Nacional Huascarán, which is about a 30-minute drive from the entrance.
