Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Huaraz. Head east on Av. Luzuriaga towards Av. José de la Rosa. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach the town of Chacas. In Chacas, follow the signs to Catarata. The attraction is located at the coordinates RHFF+2WW. Make sure to park in designated areas and follow any local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Catarata via public transportation, take a bus from Huaraz to Chacas. Buses leave regularly from the main terminal in Huaraz and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Chacas, you can either walk to Catarata, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus terminal, or you can take a local taxi for a small fee (around 5-10 soles) to reach the site directly.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Huaraz to Catarata. This option is more expensive, costing approximately 100-150 soles, but it will take you directly to the attraction without the need for bus transfers. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
