From the center of Ica, head to the main bus terminal, which is located at Av. San Martin. Look for buses heading towards Huacachina or the nearby desert. These buses are frequent and cost around 1-2 soles. Once on the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at Huacachina, which is approximately 5 km from Ica. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes.
Walking
After getting off the bus at Huacachina, you will find yourself near the oasis. From Huacachina, head towards the sand dunes which are easily visible. The entrance to the Desierto De Ica is just a short walk away. Follow the dirt paths leading into the dunes. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as it can get hot and sandy.
