If you prefer to walk from the city center of Ica to Huacachina, start at the Plaza de Armas (Ica's main square). Head southwest on Av. San Martin for about 2.5 kilometers (around a 30-40 minute walk). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Av. Huacachina. Turn left and follow this road until you see signs for Huacachina Lagoon. The walk will lead you through local neighborhoods and offer a glimpse of everyday life in Ica.
