From your location in the Inca Trail area, head towards Cusco. The journey to Pikillacta is approximately 20 km east of Cusco. Follow the signs for the Cusco city center and continue on Avenida de la Cultura, which will eventually lead you to the road towards the archaeological site. Look for signs indicating 'Pikillacta'.
