If you are driving, start by making your way to Cusco, the nearest major city to Choquequirao. From Cusco, take the road to the town of San Salvador de Huacarpay, which is approximately 30 km away. Continue on this road until you reach the town of Curawasi. Here, you will need to turn left and follow the signs to Abancay. Once in Abancay, follow the signs towards Cachora, which is the starting point for the Choquequirao Trek. The total driving distance from Cusco to Cachora is about 170 km and may take around 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions.
