Getting There

Walking
From the central plaza in Aguas Calientes, head northwest on Av. Hermanos Ayar. Continue for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Av. La Paz. Turn left onto Av. La Paz and walk for approximately 200 meters. You will see signs for Cascadas Alcamayo guiding you to the right. Follow this path for another 500 meters, and you will arrive at the entrance to Cascadas Alcamayo. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

Hiking
For the more adventurous, there is a hiking trail that leads to Cascadas Alcamayo. Start from the Machu Picchu train station and follow the signs leading to the waterfall. This trail is slightly more challenging and can take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding nature.
