Overall, an amazing experience. We had David for the city tour and Alex for the trek. Both were phenomenal. They were Professional, fun, and very knowledgeable of the archeological sites and their surrounding environments. The trip included great food, beautiful scenery, and a good challenge. 10/10 would trek with Salkantay again.

Trip of a lifetime

It’s hard to find the words to express how much I loved this trip. This was my first time doing a multi day trek and although it was definitely challenging at times, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! I learned so much about Peruvian food, flora , wildlife, landscapes, culture and history from my amazing guide Porfirio. He has so much love and pride for both his country and his job and it was a pleasure to listen and learn from him. He also definitely kept the spirits of my group high during the tougher parts of our trek and was there to encourage us and make us laugh everyday. The campsites were so beautiful and comfortable and everyday we would be excited to see where we would be sleeping next. I have dietary requirements and both Porfirio and Filipe our chef went above and beyond to ensure I had delicious meals everyday. This is a trip I will remember and talk about forever, if you’re thinking about booking it, do it!
