Walking
From the main site of Machu Picchu, head towards the entrance where you came in. Follow the signs for the 'Machu Picchu Peak' trail. The trail begins at the top of the site, near the Guardhouse. You will find a steep staircase leading up. Ascend the stairs carefully, taking your time to enjoy the breathtaking views along the way. The trail can be steep and rocky, so wear sturdy shoes and carry water. After about 30 minutes of climbing, you will reach a viewpoint that offers a stunning panorama of the valleys below. Continue on the trail for another 30 minutes, and you will arrive at Machu Picchu Peak, where you can take in the full splendor of the area.
