Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Machu Picchu archaeological site exit, head down the main pathway leading to Aguas Calientes. As you walk, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After about 20-30 minutes of walking, you will reach the town of Aguas Calientes. Continue straight until you reach the main square, known as Plaza Manco Cápac. From the square, take a left onto Avenida Imperio de los Incas. Follow this road for about 5-10 minutes. You will see Plaza Pueblo Machu Picchu on your right at Imperio de los Incas 127.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Machu Picchu entrance, take the bus that goes down to Aguas Calientes. The bus station is located just outside the entrance. Buses run frequently and the fare is reasonable. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, exit the bus and walk towards Plaza Manco Cápac. From the plaza, turn left onto Avenida Imperio de los Incas and continue for about 5-10 minutes. You will find Plaza Pueblo Machu Picchu on your right at Imperio de los Incas 127.
