From the main square, head south on Avenida Jorge Basadre until you reach the intersection with Avenida 2 de Mayo. Turn left onto Avenida 2 de Mayo and continue straight until you reach the bridge over the Madre de Dios River. Cross the bridge and continue on the same road, which will turn into the T-40 highway. Follow the T-40 for approximately 30 km. After around 30 minutes, you will see signs directing you towards Reserva Territorial Madre de Dios. Look for a road that leads into the forest area; the entrance is typically not well-marked, so keep an eye out for local signage.
