Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Cusco. Head northwest on Av. El Sol toward Av. de la Cultura. Continue straight onto Av. Pardo, then take the exit onto PE-3S towards Urubamba. Stay on PE-3S for about 1 hour until you reach the town of Urubamba. In Urubamba, follow signs to Maras, taking the PE-28B road. After approximately 12 km, you will arrive at Moray, located just outside of Maras. Keep in mind that there may be entrance fees to the archaeological site.
Public Transportation
To reach Moray by public transportation, first take a bus from Cusco to Urubamba. Buses leave frequently from the Santiago bus terminal in Cusco, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours, costing around 10-15 PEN. Once in Urubamba, look for local minivans or collectivos heading to Maras. The fare is approximately 5 PEN, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Maras, you can either walk or hire a taxi to Moray, which is about 7 km away and costs around 15 PEN.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Urubamba directly to Moray. This will cost approximately 50-70 PEN and take about 20-30 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. This is a convenient choice, especially if you are traveling in a group or carrying a lot of luggage.
