Car
If you are driving from Puno city, take the Pan-American Highway (Route 3S) heading towards Huancané. Continue for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the town of Huancané. Once in Huancané, follow local signs to the center of town. K'alapunko is located at R523+GWW, which is close to the town center. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of local regulations.
Public Transportation
From Puno, you can take a bus to Huancané. Buses depart from the Puno bus terminal, and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Huancané, you can either walk to K'alapunko, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus terminal, or take a local taxi for a small fee (approximately 5-10 PEN). Ensure to ask the driver to take you to R523+GWW.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct method, you can hire a taxi from the Puno area to Huancané. This option is more expensive, with fares typically ranging from 80 to 120 PEN, depending on negotiation and the time of day. The driver will take you directly to K'alapunko at R523+GWW.
