Boat
To reach the Uros Floating Islands, start by heading to the main port of Puno, known as the 'Puerto de Puno'. From the central Plaza de Armas, walk down Avenida Lima towards Lake Titicaca. The port is approximately a 15-minute walk. Once you arrive at the port, look for the ticket booths where you can purchase a ticket for a boat trip to the Uros Islands. Boats usually depart every 30 minutes, and the ride takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the islands. Make sure to check the schedule as it can vary.
Tour
Another option is to book a guided tour through one of the many tour agencies in Puno. Many of these agencies are located near the Plaza de Armas. You can ask your hotel for recommendations or visit a few agencies to compare prices and itineraries. These tours typically include transportation to and from the Uros Islands and may also provide a guide who will explain the culture and history of the islands during your visit.
