Car
If you are driving from Ollantaytambo, head southeast on Av. Ferrocarril towards the main road. After about 2 km, turn right onto PE-28B. Continue on this road for approximately 15 km. You will pass through the town of Urubamba. Keep following the signs for Maras. After about 7 km from Urubamba, turn right onto Unnamed Rd. Follow this road for about 4 km until you reach the Salineras de Maras. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
From Urubamba, take a colectivo (shared taxi) heading to Maras. These can be found at the main square in Urubamba. The ride takes about 30 minutes and will drop you off near the entrance to the salt mines. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to the entrance of Salineras de Maras. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going directly to Maras.
