If you're traveling by car from the South Coast region of Peru, start by heading to the city of Cusco. Depending on your starting point, you may take the Pan-American Highway (Route 1) heading southeast towards Cusco. Upon entering Cusco, follow local signage to the historic center. The Saqsaywaman archaeological site is approximately 2 kilometers from the city center. You can park in designated areas near the entrance. Be aware that daily parking fees may apply, typically around 5-10 soles.
