Getting There

Car
If you have a rental car, start from the main town of Puerto Maldonado. Head southeast on Avenida Jorge Basadre towards Avenida 1 de Mayo. Continue straight as the road becomes Avenida Interoceánica. After approximately 7 km, turn left onto the road marked towards Amaru Natural Park (look for signs). Follow the signs for about 3 km until you reach the entrance of Amaru Natural Park. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads, as parts may be rough.

Public Transportation
To reach Amaru Natural Park using public transportation, you can take a taxi or a collectivo (shared taxi). From Puerto Maldonado, head to the main square (Plaza de Armas) and look for collectivos heading towards the Interoceánica highway. The fare is around 5-10 soles per person. Once at the highway, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Amaru Natural Park entrance. The drop-off point is about 3 km from the park entrance, so you may need to walk or arrange for a local taxi for the final stretch.
