    If you are driving from Pucallpa, take Avenida R. Ugarte and follow it to Av. Jorge Basadre. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with the Carretera Federico Basadre. Head south on this road towards the town of Atalaya. After approximately 150 km, you will reach Atalaya. From Atalaya, continue south on the road towards the town of Purus. The entrance to Parque Nacional Alto Purus is located just outside of Purus. Ensure your vehicle is prepared for rough terrain as some parts of the road may be unpaved.

    To reach Parque Nacional Alto Purus via public transportation, start from Pucallpa. Head to the main bus terminal and take a bus heading to Atalaya.
