Car
From any major city in the Bicol Region, such as Legazpi or Naga, head towards the town of Monreal in Masbate. You can take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and then continue to the Bicol Expressway. After reaching the town of Pilar, take a ferry to Masbate Island. The ferry ride costs approximately 300 PHP and takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Masbate City, drive towards Monreal, which is about 1.5 hours away. Follow the signs to Catandayagan Falls, which is located at HJP7+8J, Monreal, Masbate. The last stretch involves a short hike, so be prepared with appropriate footwear.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Legazpi or Naga to Masbate City. Buses run frequently and the fare is around 500 PHP. Upon arrival in Masbate City, look for a van or jeepney heading to Monreal. The fare for this leg is approximately 150 PHP and the journey will take about 1.5 hours. Once in Monreal, you can hire a local tricycle to take you to Catandayagan Falls. This ride costs around 50 PHP and involves a short hike to reach the falls.
